The button will be available for all upgrades purchased after May 7 - so the change is already in effect.
I would advise against reselling to users who already have an existing subscription; ask them to wait for their upgrade to expire.

it's probably to prevent any chance of glitches/bugs happening as there have been some changes made to the subscription system.
It may cause conflicts with the existing upgrade.
That’s not a mistake. Stripe is disabled for gifts.
if it was possible to gift with stripe you could get someone banned by gifting them a sub with stripe and refunding trough your bank
I would suggest that you wait with extending your sub in any way until it expires; both directly and through resellers.
