Greetings community!
I'm very excited to announce that we are going to host first onetap scripting contest in collaboration with @realapril and few other Alpha users.
How to enter the contest:
It's super easy to enter the contest, you just need to join our discord server and wait for the starting date, which will be announced soon.
How it works:
After the contest starts, we'll draw a theme that your script should follow and you'll have a limited period of time to come up with an idea and make the script. After making your script, you'll need to submit your script in the #contest-submissions channel (in our discord server) and wait for the deadline. After the deadline, you won't be able to submit scripts anymore and we'll start analyzing every and each script and scoring them according to the contest's criteria. The script with the highest score wins the contest.
Rules:
Your scripts will be scored based on these criteria:
Execution
Your script must run, without errors or warnings. If the script doesn't work, you'll be disqualified. Your score will also be lowered for each error caused by your code.
Organization
Your code should be organized, using well-labeled variables and functions. We want to look at your code and be able to understand what's going on without effort. Your code needs to be optimized as well. Your scoring will be affected with every unnecessary statement you make.
Idea and creativity
Your script must be related to the contest's theme (which will be drawn a few hours before the contest begins). If it is not, your submission will be disqualified. We'll also take in consideration your creativity. If you make a script that has already been done before or something that has no actual purpose, your score will be lowered and could also lead into disqualification. It is worth noting that copied submissions will be immediately disqualified.
Performance
Your script will also be judged on how it runs in-game (FPS) and how long it takes to run. Huge FPS drops will make your score to be lowered.
Join the discord server, get your libraries ready, and may the best one win!
For any questions, don't hesitate to send me a private message.
Kind regards,
onetap team
