Clarification on subscriptions

Since there have been some misconceptions regarding the changes changes to our subscriptions and billing system, we would like to clarify a couple of things.

First and foremost, we'd like to stress that account upgrades purchased before yesterday's changes will not be renewed automatically. Moreover, legacy purchases are not classified as subscriptions and are, therefore, not recurring.

Second, you can, at any time, cancel a subscription and keep using the subscription until the next billing date, in which case your subscription will not automatically renew. Furthermore, you have the option to remove your payment method, with the only requirement being that you have no active subscriptions. Canceling a subscription, as aforementioned, renders the subscription inactive.

Finally, we do not store any billing or card details locally. The information shown on the account billing page is pulled from Stripe in real-time.
